PSA: Mavic R-Sys Wheels

I’ll admit that when the R-Sys wheels first came to market I thought they were pretty cool. The more I learned about them though the more they I began to question their stability. I’d seen the spokes explode in races but nothing as bad as the complete failure experienced by Velo News’s Ben Delaney. Wheels shouldn’t fall apart like that. If you’re rolling these wheels I highly encourage you to rethink the choice. This is not to hate on Mavic, they make some of the best wheels and I own several sets, but this system is to dangerous to ride at any speed.
