Idaho Backroads Three

This is a great early morning workout. It has almost no traffic… maybe a few fisherman headed over the pass to Lost River. The light is beautiful around 7:30 am. No other cyclists were out, probably because everyone (including me) went to the benefit concert last nite for the Sun Valley Summer Symphony. The guest artists were the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Denyce Graves. Holy cow… 360 voices, an amazing beautiful and talented opera star, and a great 104 piece symphony orchestra in their new $25 M Sun Valley Pavilion, built for the symphony. Tickets include all the booze and snacks you could consume, but that portion was not near the Pavilion as the Mormons didn’t want to be near such debauchery. They also wouldn’t allow us to bring drinks to our seats as it could cause the choir to go to hell… and I certainly wouldn’t want to be responsible for that!!

As for the road, once you climb up for about 15 miles, it turns to dirt and gravel, so I turned back.

Anyway, nice downhill run back through Ketchum downtown (past a Tulleys and Starbucks), connect to the bike path and back to the house. 1.5 hours, 30 miles.
