Earworm Alert: Biking under the (musical) Influence

It’s been mentioned before in this blog that sometimes we cyclists enjoy a mental soundtrack while riding bikes. Usually this is helpful, motivating, fun. Unless said soundtrack becomes an earworm—a song that works its way deeply into your brain and refuses to let go.

For the last week I’ve been battling an earworm. It’s of the early-90s, mosh-pit worthy variety, and it’s been causing me to ride faster (good) but more aggressively than I should be while on the BGT. I need to stop mashing the pedals and pretending I’m a Viper pilot. So in order to cleanse myself of this scourge, I will inflict it on you. Sharing is caring.

Hmm...yesterday my riding theme song was “Lovefool” by the Cardigans.  Obviously, we are in two different worlds!

I hate to burst your bubble Dave, but I believe it would be Layne. Kind of ruins the joke though, I suppose.
