Anybody got a spare bike?
Just got an email from Minneapolis Dan:
I am an avid cyclist from Minneapolis who is visiting Seattle for the MLS Cup soccer final November 20th - 23rd. My friends are renting a car and I would like to see your city on 2 wheels not 4. Do any of you know anyone who’d be willing to loan me a bike for the weekend? It doesn’t matter if it’s a beater, cruiser, or whatever...just so long as it’s rideable. I appreciate any help in this matter. Thanks.

I suppose to thwart some sort of bike theft scam that I just put together in my head, perhaps there’s a secret password that only Dan, Me and the kind person with the extra bike knows. That way, if some random dude shows up and says he’s Dan, he can’t ride away with a new bike.
Either way. Velotopia will not be held responsible for any thefts, death, mayhem, shenanigans, or tom foolery that may ensue.
I would offer up my old junker but I gave it to Dave Cole who turned it into a battery powered riding lawnmower or something.

Still need that bike? I just gave a functioning, pink, adult-sized ladies “mountain bike” (with ape hangers) to the Goodwill. But I still have Geoff’s old friend. Although it is battery-powered now, emasculating, then fun, then emasculating… just like the pink one, probably. You can use it if you want. Let me know.
